Wheelchair Wars Part 2 (24)

Then one of the six-legged beasts jumped and landed in front of him. He opened up with his machine guns and the beast was cut down swiftly. It’s green blood splattering over his face. But more were coming. He continued firing as he reversed saving at least some of his minions.

The fortress’s heavy cannons had fallen silent now. Timothy launched some grenades from the back of the battle chair killing several of the enemy but still they came.

It gave him the time though to finally get inside the mine entrance as a large metallic door closed from overhead behind him. Immediately, he could hear the enemy hurling their bodies against it. In the dim light, he turned to assess his forces. Despite minimal losses, only a third of them, or thereabouts, had been wiped out so far, they seemed cowed. Expressions of astonishment and fear were written on their faces. All except for his veterans who had known what to expect.

“It won’t take them long to get through that door. Follow me, if you wish to live!”

He was leading them deeper into the abyss. They descended into the heart of the network before what sounded like a large explosion echoed through the cave structure. It was the sound of their protective heavy metal entrance being breached.

Pegasus (Part 30)

Much time passed with us in each other’s sweaty arms. I loved the feel of her warm body up against mine. The fact that we smell terribly Her peerless beauty was memorizing and kept me in a magical trance. Then, she told me that there was something wonderful that I needed to see.

We quickly put back on our clothes and she takes me by the hand. At this moment, I feel like I would follow her anywhere. She leads me to the open side of the carriage. For a few moments I am utterly speechless for before me are behemoths that I would never have the imagination to envision. I had seen them from the air but this was something else entirely.

There was a huge herd, with their necks raising what were relatively small heads up to the sky. Their legs were huge, wider than a car with a long tail. Every now and then, they let out this enormous guttural roar that could be heard over the rattling tracks.

“They are herbivores. Despite their immense size, they are not a threat. Well, unless they accidentally stomp on you, of course. It’s the carnivores you have to watch out for,” Tabitha advised solemnly, “there are not as many of them and they are not quite so huge, but they can gulp you down in an instant.”

“Well, this is all very comforting,” I replied, “Tell me this are we not in danger of crashing into one of these things?”

“No, the train gives out a low-frequency sound that drives them away from the tracks.

With that, we sat and admired the local wildlife. It was all there was to do.

Galway Girls (Part 6)

The warm-up act was an Australian woman with long blonde hair and a very strong accent. She regaled us with the stories of her love life. She had slept with men from all over the world and was somewhat upset that she might end up getting around to every country. She was middling, a few laughs and not much more.

Still, I was content with the lads ensuring that I had a constant supply of liquor, which made even simple jokes sound hilarious. Every chair was taken giving the place a cramped, jovial atmosphere. The smell of Guinness pervaded the room.I couldn’t but help notice all the pretty women around. There was definitely a higher percentage than my hometown where you would be lucky to spot more than one on any given day.

After half an hour, her act came to an end to much applause. Some, like Sean got up off their seats to look for a refill.

“Well Ronan, what did you think of the of the act Ronan?”

“A bit crude, what did you think?”

“Ah, it was okay,” I replied.

Then I noticed a woman staring at me out of the corner of my eye. Now that wasn’t something that happened to me every day. I looked over and gave her a smile, which was reciprocated. She had short curly blonde hair, with a somewhat heavy build dressed in a black jacket and dress.

“Here’s another one.”

Our brief eye contact was broken as Sean handed me a drink. Damn, I thought to myself.

Wheelchair Wars Part 2 (23)

Then finally, the enemy began to head straight towards the base. The same was occurring throughout the planet. Timothy ordered the long-range artillery to fire. It made little difference except for splitting the odd hideous monster in two. The attack carried on regardless.

As they grew closer, he gave the order for the rest of the guns to open up. A sizeable number of the six-legged beasts were being cut down. But when he looked up, all he could see was the black swarm as far as he could see.

This would be a glorious day to die.

He scanned the reports from the other bases. Some had defeated all the enemy in their vicinity, and others were still in the heat of battle. None were facing the enormous energy force that was in front of them. The Emperor was looking kindly at him.

The guns were firing at the maximum at the bodies were piling up. Soon they would be able to jump from them onto the defensive walls.

He shouted out the command for a tactical withdrawal to the underground mining tunnels. The heavy gunners would be the last to leave their posts and he would remain on the walls with them.

His most loyal troopers wanted to stay with him but he ordered them back. They had no battle wheelchair and would be a nuisance.

Pegasus (Part 29)

They were now in an open courtyard with warehouses on the right and a large electric fence separating the compound from a vast savannah-like environment on the left. I quickened my pace now to keep up before she veers to the right, then to the left, then right before coming to an abrupt halt, and then rushed to get cover behind bushes as a humanoid sentry with searing red eyes passes.

Then, they continue again on again until they finally reach the station.

Tabitha looke at a few of the carriages before shouting out to get in her preferred one.

“This one, they are finished loading. They both squeeze into the rear behind large rectangular white boxes. Minutes pass and then the carriage starts to move.

“It is going to take some time to get there.”

With that, she slid up to me. I stared into her brown eyes and then we kissed. Her skin was soft, her lips delicious. I moved my hands underneath and felt her large breasts. Then I felt her tugging at my trousers and I quickly pulled them down. We grinded back and forth. each thrust more pleasurable than the last.

Then finally, after ultimate climax, we collapsed into each others eyes.

Galway Girls (Part 5)

I try my best to pull into one of the corners to avoid the surge of people while we wait for Sean to arrive.

“Do you want a vodka?” Ronan asked.

“I sure do.”

He knew the way I liked it, with an equal amount of orange thrown in as he took the few steps over to the bar to order.

A few moments later, I felt a firm hand on my shoulder. Instinctively, I know who it is.

“Hey Sean, you got here.”

He walked around in front of me.

“Indeed, that Ronan over there? Better tell him to order me a pint.”

With that, I was briefly alone again before they both came back.

These are the best of nights. Old friends and lively banter in a city I love.

After a few minutes, Sean pointed out that we should enter the gig area and get good seats. Always a good idea when one of the members of the group is in a wheelchair.

A tall dark-haired woman was checking the electronic tickets on people’s phones before stamping their wrists. She was at the narrow conjunction between the small bar area and the larger gig area where seats were already laid out in a much larger room with a higher area where comedians would enthrall their audiences.

However, I simply drove through.

Does she think like I do, that people in wheelchairs are invariably honest or is it that I don’t need to be stamped cause I stick out anyway?

Ah well, c’est la vie.

Wheelchair Wars Part 2 (22)

Timothy suddenly felt elated, almost light-headed with excitement. He could almost smell the death that was coming. This is what he was born to do, to fight. The planet’s suffocating heat no longer bothered him.

He left the majestic building and drove up a long ramp onto the defensive walls in his battle wheelchair, with his most loyal troops following closely behind. Now it was time for all his planning to finally swing into action.

From this position, he can look out at the barren world in front of him. Reports start to filter through of individuals beginning to convulse, but they are quickly slaughtered before they can fully mutate and do any significant damage.

Then, an hour later the reddish sky is lit up as countless waves of fireballs begin to pound the planet. It lasts for thirty minutes and then there is a pause.

Timothy never stops surveying the landscape before him. As he had expected the attack is slower to build due to the more hostile nature of the planet and the lack of life.

Then, he sees a small, black form in the distance. Then another appears from a different direction. But they move towards each other rather than the base. The alien menace was building its strength before the attack.

Pegasus (Part 28)

Tabitha was now on her home turf and very much taking the leading role. I followed her closely. She knew what parts of the ship the droids would clear first so we weaved in and out of the different rooms to avoid them. They mostly took the form of humans but others were just lifters with wheels. Still, I thought we were finished when I suddenly collapsed. Fear and panic suddenly transcended over me. My heart rate quickened.

“You’ll be okay,” he assured me, “it’s the higher oxygen content in the air on this habitat that’s affecting you. You’ll be okay in two or three minutes. My body has been through this before so I’m not as badly affected.”

Stoically, I regained control of my body and followed her once again. A few moments later we were outside the ship and on the hanger floor. It was cool and smelled of cleaning fluid.

“Where now?”

“There is an unmanned train station just outside, we need to get on one of the carriages. It will take us close to the rebel base,” she remarked, “let’s go.”

With that, we crouched behind other spaceships and cargo, crawling from one to the other that was strewn high around the place.

The fierce heat and the pungent smell of exotic plant life struck me once I stepped outside. It was like a furnace.

“This way,” she commanded.

Galway Girls (Part 4)

The first part of the night was to go and meet Sean in a pub called Roisin Dubh (Dark Little Rose) where we will see a comedian. It’s a ten-minute walk from the hotel, mostly along pedestrian-only streets. Buskers line the streets giving the busy streets a vibrant sense of festivities.

We’ve been to Roisin Dubh before. I want to use my brain to see if I remember the route but Ronan has much more confidence in his phone. And let’s face it, when it came to the crunch there was always going to be one winner.

The Corrib was in full majestic flow as we crossed over it. It wouldn’t want to rise any higher or it might take the bridge with it. We were getting close now and it wasn’t long till we reached the pub. There was a step up into it, so the barmen went to get a wooden ramp. Still, the footpath was narrow and it took some exquisite driving to get on the ramp to get up the step. But there was no way I would fail with the taste of vodka now so close.

There was no sign yet of Sean inside. The bar area is very small so there was nowhere for him to hide.

Wheelchair Wars Part 2 (21)

He entered the room of the ambassador and ordered that the Planet-wide communication channel be activated. He briefly paused and then stated the following –

People of Iridion 5, the enemy is now in orbit and will shortly enter the atmosphere. Its goal is not only to extinguish all life including your own on this planet but all life throughout the galaxy. They are called Tyranids and feeling, love, and empathy are beyond them. Tyranids simply want to destroy and consume everything in their path. And if left, they will consume you and your loved ones. These are dark times but I feel that the heroism that will be displayed on this planet in its defence will be remembered forever in the heart of the Emperor. There is a time for peace and there is a time for war. You will fight them in the sky, in the deserts and cities, and in the mines. You will never surrender.

And I will be fighting with you. My body may be weak and that of a cripple but my wheelchair and its firepower are strong. My determination and resilience to defend this planet is absolute. Together, not only we can defend this planet but also hit a ferocious blow in defense of the Empire. Songs will be sung about Iridion 5 from now until the death of the very last star.

Now to your battle stations. For the glory of the Emperor, let us destroy this Tyranid menace.
